Ama-la (Jetsün Jampa Chökyi) was known for her exceptional kindness and compassion. She was always welcoming all the students of Kangyur Rinpoche with love and gratitude, everyone was feeling …. nothing was missing; even though there was just a glass of water that she prepared with kind love without any pretense.
She was born on the 30th day of the 12th month of the year of the Water Dog (1922). From her childhood she was devoted to spiritual practice. Humility was the essence of her practice. She was always in the service of sentient beings, often in hidden ways or simply through the simplicity of her being.
Jetsün Jampa Chökyi was the rebirth of the Wisdom Dakini Dorje Shelkar Tso, heart disciple of Padmasambhava. The consort of Kyabje Kangyur Rinpoche, his foremost disciple, indivisible with his wisdom mind, she was the mother of multiple precious beings, including Tulku Pema Wangyal and Jigme Khyentse Rinpoches.
Most of her story cannot be told. Pray and she will listen.
