Today The Yogini Project released “White Lotus,” our in-house film on Venerable Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s groundbreaking work in empowering young nuns with unprecedented education opportunities.
The Transmission of the Tsoknyi Nangchen Lineage To Nepal
A Yogini Project Production
A short film on Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s creation of unprecedented opportunities for education for young nuns in Nepal, creating the causes and conditions for the female teachers of tomorrow.
This film is created as an epilogue to the film “Blessings: The Tsoknyi Nangchen Nuns of Tibet.” The Yogini Project is producing an International Version of this film with translations in 7 languages: French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese, to be released this October 2016.
For a glimpse of “Blessings“….
“White Lotus” previewed at Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s retreats in Germany and the UK, this May and August respectively, to a warm response by Rinpoche and all attendees. We have pre-released it prior to the release of “Blessings” as it not only stands alone, but may support Rinpoche’s work and these wonderful, fortunate young women all the more. May it reach many eyes!
We at The Yogini Project feel the model of education that Tsoknyi Rinpoche has created at Tsoknyi Gechak Ling – in both intent and manifestation, as displayed in this film – is a wonderful template and example not only for education of women within the Tibetan tradition but points the direction for creating education models that support the whole being, creating the conditions for the organic blossoming of beings, for really youth in any context around the world.
