Ani Jinba Palmo

Ani Jinba Palmo, born and educated in Holland, is a nun in the Tibetan tradition. She studied Tibetan Buddhism since early 1969 and was ordained in Tashi Jong in December 1969. Her main teachers were the 8th Khamtrul Rinpoche, His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse and Abo Yeshe Rangdrol Rinpoche.  During the seventies, the 8th Khamtrul Rinpoche asked her to find support for the togdens, realized yogins, and she continues that commitment.

Venerable Jinpa Palmo has served as an interpreter for many Tibetan masters, particularly, she was a long-time student of and a translator for Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche until his death in 1991. She currently divides her time between retreats in Nepal and India and translating for Tibetan teachers in the United States and Europe.

Among her works are translations of “An Ocean of Blessings” by Penor Rinpoche, “Brilliant Moon”, an autobiography of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, “The Great Image”,  the biography of Vairochana, and other writings.
